How I ditched my laptop for an iPad Pro (and you can too)

Photo-editing is so much fun

Editing photos on an iPad is a revelation. My favourite photo editing on the iPhone is Enlight - it makes even the worst of my iPhone photos Instagram-worthy but for my day-to-day work, I use Pixelmator as it helps me create custom image sizes with very little effort. It's even made it possible for me to file stories on my iPhone for Stuff.

The iPad Pro however gives me access to more full-featured apps such as Affinity Photo which is like having Photoshop on your iPad, minus all the lag and waiting times needed to edit photos. Since iOS now supports taking RAW photos, I have less reason to take the DSLR out. I'm now considering getting a WiFI SD card, just so I can easily edit pictures from my camera on the iPad.

As someone who used to teach basic Photoshop for a living, editing photos on an iPad Pro is near-magical. Not only can you make tweaks in seconds and zoom in on pixels with just a pinch, I can then share the image on social media without my phone.
