We can’t seem to run away from VR, so we’ve decided to spend some time trying the Avegant Glyph. Just because it looks wicked cool to wear a headset as though you’re pushing the headband of an earphone to your eyes.
While it’s touted as a VR system, it’s not so much an immersive VR experience. Rather, we get the sense that it’s a well-designed integration of the visual and audio experience, minus the full immersive experience that puts you int a VR deep dive. Without a full blackout that other VR headsets do to your visual senses, it’s as though you’re watching a huge screen on the headset with some awareness of your external environment.
