Samsung Galaxy S5
The king of Android phones packs a 2.5GHz quad-core engine behind its 5.1in big beautiful screen. Apart from the default 16/32GB internal storage options you’re given, you can store up to 128GB of movies and music via microSD.
For snaps, the phone’s 16MP eye captures pretty true to form still images in good light, and 4K video as well. The phone also now comes with an IP67 waterproof rating, which makes it water-compatible for pool outings.
What’s hot: This phone wants to keep you happy and healthy with the heart rate sensor located on its back. While the S Health app has existed in previous versions of the phone, it's been given a revamp to make health tracking even better with the new sensor and a simple press of your finger to find out how hard your heart is pumping to finetune your workouts.
What’s not: Everyone has material needs. We understand the portability concerns that metal might bring with it. But how long does Uncle Sam expect people to keep paying premium prices for not-premium materials? There might be a dimpled back for a better grip this time, but plastic by any other name and design is still plastic.
