Oculus VR has officially revealed that each Rift headset will land with a full copy of Eve: Valkyrie, letting gamers jump straight into the VR action with no delay come launch day.
The fast-paced first-person space shooter puts players directly into the cockpit of high-flying spaceships, letting them zip around, avoid obstacles and, of course, blow up enemy players.
The multiplayer title appears to be a very solid launch title choice, and offers gamers a chance to become accustomed to the different control methods that VR offers.
Certain ships can, for example, be locked-on simply by looking at them, allowing you to fire off some tracking missiles. Others let you shoot fluidly at whatever you're looking at, and you're free to drink in your immersive surroundings by looking around at the view too, whenever you fancy.
There's no set price or release date beyond 'early 2016' for the Rift, and one game alone won't be enough to propel it to the top of the gaming world, but if shooting spaceships doesn't count as a solid start, then we don't know what else does.
