“What? How did this happen? How is it possible! B..B..But the official launch is on the 18th August 2016!”
Pipe down children, for thoughts like these are but natural. It’s all right to be alarmed. This is what we do, and boy is the kid-in-a-candy-store-feeling a great one.
All right, fine! Brag away..
Hush now, enough of this silly banter. Let's focus on the task at hand. Life can indeed feel like a box of chocolates or one big slab of delicious chocolate. Either way, opening the nifty cardboard case and holding the chic-looking Huawei P9 is definitely interesting.
The sleek form factor, unibody metal case and the chamfered edges allow the smartphone to sit comfortably in one’s hand. The P9 has just the right amount of heft and the screen is just the right size - it doesn’t feel like it’s competing in the ongoing display-size wars, which is a welcome relief. The 3.5mm headphone jack and the USB type C connector port and speaker grille can be found on the bottom, while the lock button and volume controls are situated at an easily reachable part on the right side edge.
A fingerprint scanner, dual-lens cameras from Leica and what seem like dual flashes can be found on the rear side of the smartphone. The front camera on the P9 rounds up the trinity of lenses on the device. Stock headphones, a charging adapter and cable, along with the instruction manual are the not-so-strange bedfellows that the Huawei P9 shares its box with. Watch this space as we dig deeper. This is going to be a good one.
