It’s also slim, has a vivid display and an AKM DAC. Seductive enough?
Powering the X5 Pro is a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, paired with 2GB RAM. There’s 16GB storage and, in a nice touch, it’s expandable by another 128GB. Enough for your music library? Hopefully yes, as Vivo says the X5 Pro is a ‘Hi-Fi’ phone - and it does use an AKM AK4375 DAC. But if photography is more your thing, there’s a 13MP rear camera (with Phase Detect AF), and an 8MP front camera. Interestingly, the X5 Pro uses a 5.2in Super AMOLED display (Full HD), which should offer deep blacks as compared to traditional IPS screens.
As for battery life, the X5 Pro has a 2450mAh battery inside that slim frame, which might not seem like much, but Vivo claims its special ‘Stamina Mode’ will boost usage time. And as you’d expect, it’s got dual SIMs and 4G. On the software side, Vivo’s latest baby runs on Android Lollipop 5.0, with their own Funtouch OS 2.1 laid over that.
The Vivo X5 Pro has a list price of ₹27,980 and is now available at retailers.
