PayUMoney adds ‘buy now, pay later’ feature

LazyPay offers deferred payments

No cash? Can’t get a credit card? Try LazyPay.

Online payment processor PayUMoney has added a deferred payments feature which lets you make purchases even if you don’t have any cash in your bank account. That’s right, Mr Big Spender, you don’t even need a credit card to beat the wait-for-payday blues.

Opt for the LazyPay checkout option (offered to users who meet eligibility standards set by PayUMoney), and you can take advantage of a 15-day payment cycle. As of now, around 17 services offer LazyPay checkout - including Zomato, Box8, Jazz Cinemas, Netmeds and Innerchef. Not everyone will get the option - PayUMoney will calculate a trust score (based on prior activity) and offer you a deferred payment option for amounts up to ₹2500, a limit which they’ll raise depending upon your trust score. Buy now, pay later? More like ‘pizza now, pay later’.
