Oppo’s Reno6 series will launch on July 14, and as things stand, we are likely to see two new phones – Reno6 5G and Reno6 Pro 5G. There’s been no dearth of information around these devices, and now Oppo itself is offering some interesting tidbit. Like a fashion designer excited about their new collection, Oppo is talking up the shiny clothes its upcoming smartphones will be wearing.
Both upcoming devices will boast of what the brand calls ‘Reno Glow’ design. Using a dedicated manufacturing process, Oppo is giving the Reno6 smartphones a matte texture with a shiny appearance.
There is another colour variant called Aurora, which has been created using the ‘Reno Glow Diamond Spectrum’ technology. Using this process, the back of the device gets five distinct layers giving it a shimmery effect. The colours too shift when viewed at different angles and under different kinds of lights.
We already have a fair idea about the two desvices. The Oppo Reno6 comes with a 6.43in FHD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, and a 4,300mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. Other features include three cameras (64MP+8MP+2MP) at the back, and a 32MP selfie camera up front.
The Oppo Reno6 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a 6.55in curved display, Dimensity 1200 chipset, and a bigger 4,500 fast charging battery. While the selfie camera remains the same, the Pro variant will come with a quad-camera setup (64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP). As the names suggest, both devices will support 5G connectivity, and run ColorOS 11.3 out-of-the-box.
