Later this year, Microsoft is expected to launch the Lumia 940 as the successor to its current Lumia flagship the 930.
The latest reports say that the Lumia 940 may come with 5.2in display, but a second Lumia 940 XL may arrive with a rather large 5.7in display. And since Microsoft Windows 10 devices are able to support high-end processors, there's a very good chance both phones will arrive with octacore processors. So expect them to be pretty nippy.
Specs to expect
Other specs are said to include a 24MP or 25MP rear camera and a 5MP or 8MP front-facing camera. Features, meanwhile, are expected to include native support for pen styluses, iris-scanning capabilities, 3D-like interactions and dual-sim support. What we do know for sure, is that both phones will come running the new Windows 10 mobile OS.
The new flagships could be officially announced as soon as April 29th, at Microsoft's BUILD conference. We'll update this story as and when we hear more.
