HTC One M8S is the M8’s mate

If you're not already sick of HTC news... here's some more

Hot on the heels of the One M9’s release, HTC has released yet another smartphone, the M8S.

It’s virtually the same as the One M8 of 2014: same all-metal build and same 5in 1080p screen.

But it drops the Snapdragon 801 processor in favour of a quad-core Snapdragon 615, and the 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera, replacing it with a 13MP sensor. It does however keep the second lens used for focusing effects, which was dropped from the M9.

A bigger battery and Android Lollipop

It’s had an increase in battery power too, going from 2600mAh in the M8 to a 2840mAh unit.

Other specs include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion and Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 6.

It seems that for now it will just be released in Europe, with an asking price of £380 (about ₹35K) in the UK. It’ll be available in silver, gold and gunmetal grey finishes.
