The GT 80 Titan is here, all set to destroy your perception of conventional gaming laptops

And it also has an SLI trick up its gaming sleeve

If this doesn’t turn you into a misanthropic turtle that likes to be sat in its dark shell, killing enemy teams and hurling abuses at imbeciles on the internet, we don’t know what will

What’s that? You say our little introduction is a bit over the top? Wait till you meet what we would comfortably christen the ‘world’s most ridiculous gaming laptop’

Say hello to the MSI GT 80 Titan SLI. It costs a cool 2,95,000, and needless to say, comes loaded with everything you need to game on-the-go. But with a size that makes 17in laptops look like Snow White’s dwarfs, is this 18.4 behemoth really practical? The answer to that will be provided in a few days - expect a review soon. Till then, let’s take a closer look at what we have here.

It’s not the size that matters, it’s what it can do

Isn’t that true in a lot of other situations too? Anyway, the 18.4in display is surely a massive tandem of visual madness, but it’s just a Full HD affair. It’s no ordinary retina pleaser, though. It’s got True Color Technology that pre-calibrates each panel, which in turn guarantees image output at preset mode close to 100% sRGB! But our eyes would love to see zombie brains splatter out in 4K glory.

Sly SLI and a keyboard with a cherry on top

The Nvidia Geforce GTX 980M SLI means some crazy power and some serious gaming. This  will surely intimidate anyone who claims to have a ‘gaming laptop’. But that’s not the only good part. This one is the ‘world’s first’ to pack in a full mechanical keyboard! With original Cherry MX switches, gaming and typing can go on, and on, and on.

There’s a whole bunch of stuff that the Titan SLI packs in, but you’ll have to wait for our full review to know how all of the other crazy bits perform.
