Capture yourself doing cool stuff with Nikon’s KeyMission cameras

What’s the point of being a daredevil unless you can make your Facebook friends jealous?

Live life like it’s a Mountain Dew commercial? Immediately think ‘I wanna bike down that’ whenever you see the photo of a mountain? Get a KeyMission camera and get set for social media stardom.

Calling all adrenaline junkies. You know who you are. Just step away from that bundle of paracord and listen to us. ‘Cos Nikon’s launched a series of rugged, action-focused cameras.

First up is the KeyMission 80. Designed for one-handed recording, this shock-, water- and cold-proof camera might be perfect for activities like trekking (or even for capturing a protest against global warming).

Then there’s the KeyMission 170, which shoots 4K video at a ultra-wide angle of 170 degrees. It’s also waterproof up to 10 metres (up to 40m if you use it with the waterproof case, sold separately), and shock-, cold- and dust-proof. The KeyMission 170 also has Nikon’s VR image stabilisation built in, which means video footage of you barrelling down a flight of stairs on roller skates while dressed as a circus clown (or whatever other stuff you get up to when bored) will be steady as can be.

And finally, there’s the range-topping KeyMission 360. As you’d expect, this 20MP camera shoots 360-degree 4K video, and is also waterproof up to 30 metres (don’t worry, it’ll handle shock, cold and dust just fine as well).

If the cameras alone seem very tame to you (really?), Nikon’s also got a range of accessories for your more extreme weekends - there’s everything from helmet strap or surfboard mounts to underwater lens protectors and tripod adapters.

The KeyMission series should be in stores by November 2016. For more information, head over to Nikon’s website.
