Moving to a new apartment? Then go check out Bose’s stylish new home theatre gear. There’s a soundbar for your bedroom (if you’re tight on space) and a couple of 5.1 systems for your living room.
Moved into your own apartment? Once you’re done with all the paperwork and treating all your freeloading mates to beer, it’s time to pat yourself on the back for becoming all grown up. And then kick back with a movie or some music. But do you have your home theatre ready?
Soundbars are fast becoming popular, aren’t they? Makes sense, we’d say, considering not everyone has the space for a massive home theatre system. If you’re with us on this, you might like Bose’s SoundTouch 300.
This slim li’l soundbar looks pretty neat and also seems quite versatile: You can use it ‘as is’, pair it with a wireless Acoustimass 300 sub if you want a bit more ‘meat’, and add separate rear channels with the Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers.
According to Bose, the SoundTouch 300 can deliver a pretty believable sense of surround audio thanks to its proprietary PhaseGuide tech. Other features include NFC, Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, 4K passthrough, QuietPort and Adaptiq room calibration.
The SoundTouch 300 and its Acoustimass bass module both list at ₹69,999, while the surround speakers will cost you ₹36,000.
But if space isn’t an issue, you might want to check out Bose’s Lifestyle 650. It comes with four OmniJewel speakers, which are the smallest satellite units Bose has ever made. These get paired to a centre channel and a bass module. The Lifestyle 650 features QuietPort tech, Adaptiq optimisation, NFC and 4K passthrough with 6 HDMI inputs.
The Lifestyle 650 will retail at ₹3,99,999, but if that’s too steep, Bose is also offering the Lifestyle 600 (₹2,99,999), which uses JewelCube satellites and centre units.
