Asus latest ROG gaming laptops go from budget to wallet-crunching

Intel 11s and Nvidia 30s

Every laptop brand is sitting and replacing the insides of their gaming laptops. It’s in time with Intel’s latest generation of processors and Nvidia’s newest GPUs for RayTracing fantasies. So which gaming laptops get the latest innards and what are their prices? Read on to find out!

ROG Zephyrus S17 (from ₹2,99,990)

Let’s start from the top and by that we mean the most lust-worthy laptop of the bunch. The S17 has a 17.3in that is Pantone validated and has a 100% P3 colour gamut. You also get to choose if you want a 165Hz QHD (2K) display with a 3ms response time or a 120Hz UHD (4K) display with a 3ms response time. Of course, the storage and RAM can also be amped up depending on your budget and needs but the main taking is that you get an Intel i9-11900H with Nvidia’s RTX 3080 running the show for all your gaming needs.

It also follows the footsteps of previous Zephyrus laptops and rises the keyboard area up by 5° to allow better ventilation for the fans under. It starts from ₹2,99,990 and will be available from the third quarter of 2021.

Zephyrus M16 (from ₹1,44,990)

If the S17 ticks all the bells and whistles, the M16 is a modest approach to high-end gaming. It’s not lacking the flashy features of the S17 but it’s tuned to dance to the creator’s whistle. Packing a 16:10 aspect ratio display, this 16in is squeezed inside a 15in laptop’s chassis and focuses on stripping the bezels too. The tall aspect ratio is for creators to have more room while editing.

You can find an Intel i7-11800H or an Intel i9-11900H mashed with RTX 3050 Ti, RTX 3060 and RTX 3070. All of these support a 100% P3 colour gamut display with 2560 x 1600p resolution at 165Hz refresh rate and with 3ms response time, barring the RTX 3050 Ti variant which only comes with 100% sRGB 1920 x 1200p 144Hz and 3ms display. Lots of variants to choose from and it starts from ₹1,44,990 and will be available from the third quarter of 2021.

TUF Gaming F15 and F17

The TUF is Asus’ budget gaming lineup. Delivering gaming specs at acceptable pricing. Both laptops come with fast charging and even juice up using a Type-C connection. The F15 comes with a 15.6in FHD display at 144Hz or 240Hz. The F17 sports a 17.3in FHD display at 144Hz. You can opt for Intel i5 11400H or Intel i711800H with Nvidia RTX 3050 or 3050 Ti on both laptops. But only the F15 gets an additional variant with Intel i9 11900H and Nvidia RTX 3060.

The TUF F15 starts from ₹1,04,990 and will be available from 11th June. The TUF F17 starts from ₹92,990 and will be available from 14th June.
