Acer’s 'Night of the Predator' showcased the ultimate geek fest for PUBG and DOTA 2 fans

PC gaming, cosplay, dance-offs and DJ battles all-in-one

The winners of PUBG and Dota 2 take home ₹3 lacs. Do we now have your attention?

After practicing for weeks and perfecting skills with non-stop caffeine intake, PUBG and Dota 2 gamer specialists qualified to battle it out against the best at the Acer Predator League Finale held at Mithibai college.

We witnessed India’s largest PUBG LAN tournament along with the Dota 2 finals, where the Team Raptors (PUBG Winner) and Team Signify (Dota 2 winner) took home the Predator Shield trophy and a pot of three lac rupees individually. Both teams are now preparing to represent India at the Asia Pacific finals in Bangkok competing for a whopping prize pool of $400,000 (about ₹2,88,00,000).

Whilst the gamers were busy, we made love to the Acer Predator Thronos and reclined its chair all the way back (140 degrees) just to ogle at three massive gaming monitors. The ultimate all-in-one gaming cave? Yessir. Acer also announced the OJO 500 Mixed Reality headset for 39,990 to please VR addicts.

Acer’s Night of the Predator arena filled up with all kinds of college students and tech enthusiasts. We speculated and cheered for local street dancers and whacko gamer-centric cosplay competitions. Once the gamers were done, the arena turned into a typical Saturday night gig, where DJs like Zaeden, Lost Stories, Progressive Brothers and Greffalong closed the night in style. Quite a night, eh?
