For a couple of years now, LG has left tech enthusiasts salivating with their concept rollable TV. But finally, it’s out of that ‘will they, won’t they’ area and has officially entered the realm of reality with shipping to begin in the second or third quarter of 2020. Christened the LG Signature OLED TV R, LG has crammed all the features they possibly can into this paper-thin engineering marvel and added some more unique features that this form factor allows. For instance, the TV R can adjust the aspect ratio and will either roll in or out for the best cinematic experience possible. So no more black bands at the top and bottom. It also has three modes, namely, Full View, where you can view all of the 4K goodness; Line View, where the TV rolls back with just enough sticking out to display the time, mood, music selections, etc. and Zero View, which, as the name would suggest, hides the screen completely. While the Indian pricing is yet to be revealed, an international price tag of $60,000 means we can’t really go out and buy it when it hits the market.
