No one ever said “my MacBook Pro is a sloth” but that didn’t stop the tech giant from quietly updating its flagship laptop line with the fastest processors it has ever installed in the range. The 15-inch MacBook Pro now gets 6 and 8-core Intel Core processors, delivering Turbo Boost speeds up to 5.0 GHz, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar features faster quad-core processors with Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.7 GHz. Using these 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors has made the MBPs twice as fast as previous quad-core models and 40% faster than previous 6-core models, so you can spend more time looking at rainbows outside the window than wheels on the screen. Apple has also taken this opportunity to sneak in a keyboard update to the much-talked about sorepoint, the butterfly mechanism and its appetite for dust. Starting at ₹1,59,900 and ₹1,99,900 respectively, the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and 15-inch MacBook Pro go on sale in India later this week.
