Writers, journalists, students and pretty much anyone who walks around with a computer in their hand or bag is not a stranger to Microsoft’s Surface Go series. You can pair it with a Surface Pen and invite designers to this humble circle, but those people will need a lot more grunt from this feeble machine. This tablet is simplistic yet versatile; you can slap on a keyboard and start using it as a computer. And with 64% more power than the previous Go, this promises not to be a sloucher for the audience. The PixelSense display has been stretched to a 10.5in size with improvement in the battery department too. There’s an improved 5MP camera for Skype calls and Studio Mics that use dual microphones for voice clarity and noise reduction to shush out chatty flatmates. Microsoft even included a new camera app for the rear camera to scan documents effortlessly and then scribble pie charts on it with the Surface Pen for a more natural touch. The Surface Go starts at $399 (around ₹30,000) and there’s no word on the Indian price and availability.
