Things you can only get in India: decent butter chicken, a massive Ganesha festival and, from August 9, the Xiaomi Mi A2. You’re getting a fair bit of bang for your modest buck with this new device by Xiaomi. The ₹16,999 handset has a 5.99in, 18:9 display with a 1080p resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel, a dual 12MP and 20MP camera setup, and a 20MP selfie snapper on the front. Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 660 processor, and the phone tops out at 128GB with 6GB RAM, which will be out sooner than you’d expect. But you’ve got to wait for that variant for now. Google's stripped-back Android One operating system, meanwhile, makes sure you're only given the stuff you need. As expected, it has yet again aced its camera game, and aesthetics and ergonomics bang on!
