XZs? Sounds like a supercar, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. But you aren’t all that off the mark as Sony thinks you’ll love the new Xperia XZs as much as something with a V12. You get a metal alloy body, a 5.2in FHD display, Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM and a 2900mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 and Qnovo adaptive charging. You also get Android 7.1.1, with some more software trickery from Sony - Xperia Actions (a smart assistant which learns about how you use the phone and tries to automate life things for you). Okay, all pretty standard kit so far, so where’s the super-stuff? Well, the real star of the XZs’s specsheet is its 19MP MotionEye camera - it’s got bigger pixels than the camera in the Xperia XZ, and Sony claims you’ll get great low-light results. And yup, it can even shoot video at 960fps (though only for a couple of seconds), which means you can capture ultra-slo-mo video like in that documentary you’ve been raving about. Super enough for you? The XZs lists at ₹49,990 and will be available from 11 April (pre-orders are on now). There’s also an introductory offer with a free portable speaker up for grabs.
