While the rest of the world was engrossed with the Oscar’s, Samsung was busy dressing themselves for what is their biggest announcement of this decade. Samsung just pushed three new (S)hiny smartphones into their Galaxy. Aimed at photography and video professionals for whom price is no obstacle, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is the perfect pocketable. There’s 8K video recording with pro-grade video stabilisation and 100x space zoom (from the 108MP primary camera) that may not let you capture the nearby galaxy, but will surely capture the moon in detail. There’s a 48MP camera also used for telephoto, and a 12MP camera for breathtaking ultra-wide vacation panoramas. Cameras aside, this one’s a beast when it comes to specs as well. Also included is a QHD+ Dynamic Amoled display that’s as fast as the ones on gaming laptops with a 120Hz refresh rate. And even if the visual fluidity fails to impress, there’s support for HDR10+ for all your video streaming needs. And if all of that did not impress, Samsung offers 12GB RAM/128GB storage base variant with the top end variant packing in a whopping 16GB RAM. A bigger battery keeps up with all the new hardware, and we reckon the 5000mAh unit is a perfect fit. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is priced from $1399 and will be available in Cosmic Grey and Cosmic Black.
