Taking a step away from BlackBerry traditions are the latest from the iconic brand with new and bold (see what we did there) steps taken to appease the current market. With the Evolve and Evolve X, BlackBerry has ditched the physical keyboard in favour of a full screen 18:9 1080 x 2160p LCD display. Both devices feature a long lasting 4000mAh battery with the Evolve X getting wireless charging, a first ever for Blackberry. Facial recognition comes as standard on both devices, capable of unlocking the smartphones in 0.4 seconds while the fingerprint sensor on the back boasts a quick unlock time of 0.3 seconds. The Evolve and Evolve X comes with their share of software tweaks and optimisation to boost productivity with tons of security features. On the spec front, the Evolve features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 processor with 4GB RAM while the Evolve X features the Snapdragon 660 with 6GB RAM. A 16 MP front camera and front flash are common on both devices. The Evolve gets a dual lens 13MP+13MP rear camera while the Evolve X gets a 12MP+13MP dual lens setup. The Evolve is priced at 24,990 while the Evolve X is priced at 34,990.
