Sand in your hair. Music in your ears. Unidentified liquid all over your sweatshirt. There’s nothing like the blend of modern-yet-rustic charm of the Magnetic Fields Festival held annually in the village of Alsisar, Rajasthan. The palace setting is an added bonus, of course. It's messy, muddy and almost certain to leave you with terrible tan lines, but there’s no better way to forget the daily grind than by packing a bag, hitting the road and heading for the festival field. The seventh edition of the contemporary arts and music festival will take over from December 13 to 15 and tickets are now up for grabs. With options of pitching your own tent or simply renting one of theirs (along with the festival pass), this trip could cost you a tidy sum ranging from ₹13,350, all the way up to ₹1,02,000 (other than travel and food) for a thorough royal experience. But then again, despite the monies, tickets are fast disappearing with little time left to grab your spot. Though the lineup of artists hasn’t been announced yet, be assured you’ll get full bang for your buck from the moment of touchdown.
