Electric cars give you that gut wrench feeling every time with every acceleration. But you might need a new set of guts if you’re lucky enough to drive the Pininfarina Battista Electric Hyper GT unveiled at the Monterey Car Week in California. This 1,900bhp electric monster can do 0-100kph in under two seconds. It’s all kinds of futuristic with a black signature carbon exterior finish, and interiors made up of sustainable black leather with Iconica Blu Alcantara quilted upholstery. Pininfarina plans to build only 150 units of the production-spec Battista electric hyper GT. There are also plans for a Battista Anniversario model, which will be limited to just five units. Pininfarina is also partnering with Swiss watchmaker BOVET 1822 for a special edition timepiece that will be revealed later this year. All this privilege comes at a cost, and that is around $2 million.
