Always known to be the most technologically inclined amongst the German trio of giants, Audi has just upped the game a little more with the launch of the all-new, 8th generation A6 in India. Although the famed Quattro all-wheel drive system gets a miss this time, the almost button-less cabin is now dominated by three screens in total - the virtual cockpit instrument cluster, the 10in infotainment system and the 7in MMI screen blend into the new wood, glass and aluminum dashboard superbly. Power is produced by the 45TFSI motor that generates a healthy 245bhp and 370Nm of torque driven by a 7-speed auto box and a claimed 0-100kmph time of 6.8secs. The plagued air-suspension has been replaced with an all-new comfort heavy-duty suspension tuned specifically to tackle Indian roads. Wireless charging, 30 ambient light colours, lane departure warning system, park assist, B&O surround sound system and 8 airbags are just some of the tech bits that are peppered across the new A6. Prices start at an aggressive ₹54.2 lakhs and that seems like a worrying number for BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
