Mirrorless cameras are here to stay, and why shouldn’t they? The perform better (in most conditions) than the traditional DSLR’s while being half their size. Until recently however, mirrorless cameras were a bit too pricey for anyone not professionally into photography or the fanatical amature with deep pockets. Now however, the technology has been accepted and Panasonic have brought a bazooka to a knife battle. Their newest Lumix G85 joins the G Series with a magnesium alloy diecast front frame, splash and dust proofing, OLED Live View Finder (LVF), 16 MP Digital Live MOS Sensor and the list goes on… The Panasonic Lumix G85 also boasts of a Light Composition function, added as a new option of the 4K Photo mode that makes it possible to get the best out of low light scenes. Blurring due to shaky hand held photography is kept to a minimum as the GH85 features a new 5-axis dual image stabiliser. We think blurry images should not be a concern unless you are riding a horse that’s on a boat with stormy weather. The Panasonic Lumix G85 comes at an incredibly affordable ₹72,990 while its younger sibling, the G7 comes in at ₹53,990 .
