My Gadget Life - Robin Singh

The East Bengal football player and Puma brand ambassador on his favourite gadgets, never having played FIFA and more…

What’s in your kit?

My kit bag has two pairs of Puma’s Evotouch studs, two pairs of socks, shin pads, my toiletry bag with stuff I need for the game and my Bose portable speaker. My music gets me going for my game.

A gadget you can’t live without...

There are two- my portable speaker and my PlayStation.

My gadget partners during a workout...

My Apple Watch to track my run, time and speed; and my Apple AirPods.

...and on-field...

I don't need gadgets on field. My teammates are my partners; they're my family away from home.

The funkiest gadget I’ve ever owned is...

I own a Pioneer turntable, I don't think anyone knows that.

My most prized football possessions are...

My memories and the friends I've made along the way.

Football Apps I’m addicted to...

Goal.com, Fotmob and the Premier League app.

An element of tech I’d love to see in the game...

Highest FIFA score on PlayStation. You'd be surprised to know I don't play FIFA.

My favourite watch is…

For now my favourite watch is my Apple Watch, it helps me keep a check on my fitness goals even during my day-to-day activity and all my favourite apps are a touch away.

If I had to choose between Batmobile and one of James Bond’s cars...

I'd choose one of the Bond cars. They're understated, classy but still really cool with all the gadgets installed in them.

Cell phones are a necessary evil...

Our lives have been changed for better and for worse with a cell phone. As much as it keeps us connected, it has also made us lazy. Now everything's available at the press of a button and it stops us from enjoying the beauty around us. You could be sitting at the most scenic place in the world but still be on your phone.
