There are spirits in the house and who you want to call? Ghostbusters. Thats right.
No. Not when there's a kid-killing spirit lurking around. And specially not when you have five daughters in the house. You call demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Warrens conduct an initial investigation and conclude that the house may require an exorcism, but they need authorization from the Catholic Church and further evidence before they can proceed.
They discover that the house once belonged to an accused witch, Bathsheba, who sacrificed her week-old child to the devil and killed herself in 1863 after cursing all who would take her land. They find reports of numerous murders and suicides in houses that had since been built on the property.
A real estate secretary named Marion Crane wants to marry her boyfriend, Sam Loomis, but they cannot afford to get married because of Sam's debts. Marion decides to steal $40,000 cash from her workplace which her boss asks to deposit in the bank. Deciding on leaving town with the money and give it to Sam in Fairvale, California.
Driving on, Marion encounters a sudden rainstorm and decides to stop for the night at the Bates Motel. Norman Bates( the owner of the motel) has a crazy mom who is mentally ill and forbids him to have a life outside of her.
Norman discovers the dead body of Marion after she had taken a shower and meticulously cleans up the crime scene, putting Marion's corpse and her possessions—including the embezzled money—into the trunk of her car and sinking it in the swamps near the motel. What happens after that is pretty interesting.
The great white shark and his famous diet has charmed us for many years. This Spielberg classic is worth a revisit if you've already watched it. If not, watch it now and it will keep you away from the shores for a long time to come.
The plot is fairly simple, a great white shark is hunting, rather snacking, on anything that comes its way. And some dumb dumbs think they can kill it.
The most iconic movie from the 80s. The Shining is considered to be one of the best works of Stanley Kubric.
This psychological horror film is based on Stephen King's novel and is about a family that heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence.
His psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future which is also described to be 'shining'. But how things go from normal to devil screaming crazy will keep you hooked on from the get go.
When a deaf novelist retires to a secluded woodland cabin to finish off her latest book and get over a breakup, she thinks loneliness is going to be her biggest problem. Instead, she ends up being hunted by a creepy psycho in a featureless mask. It is, we think you’ll agree, a situation that would be pretty pants-filling for anybody – but when you can’t hear the murderer coming, it’s even more fraught. It all makes for a clever twist on what might otherwise be a fairly run-of-the-mill horror yarn.
