Is this the OnePlus 3?

Chinese website publishes render and specs of OnePlus’ upcoming flagship phone

With both the OnePlus One and 2 being excellent smartphones at affordable prices, anticipation for OnePlus’ next flagship handset is high – and now we have an idea of what it will look like.

Well, possibly. The pictures above and below are renders published by excellently-named Chinese website Mobile Dad, and they claim they show the OnePlus 3 in two different finishes. It looks plausible enough, but there’s no guarantee that it’s the real deal or, even if it’s a genuine leak, that it actually shows the final design of the 3.

The site also claims to have obtained some of the OnePlus 3’s specs, saying that it has a 1080p screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Again, both plausible. There’s no sign on the images of a fingerprint scanner – a little odd considering one appeared on the 2, but we suppose there could be an iris scanner instead, even if that doesn’t really fit in with the OnePlus policy of keeping tech relatively toned down in order to lower production costs.

With the LG G5 also apparently leaking today, it’s been a bumper couple of hours for fans of large, top of the range Android phones. Christmas truly has come early…
