ZTE is known in these parts for its budget smartphones like the recently announced Windows Phone 7 Tania. And if you've caught the bug from the long-time behind the scenes manufacturer, you'll be eyeing up its latest Android tablet – the V9A Light Tab 2.
Coming to a pocket near you at the end of February, the Light Tab 2 is gunning for portability and specs decent enough for your average casual tablet fan. So your £235 gets you a 7in capacitive screen, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS capabilities with Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on a 1.4GHz single-core processor.
ZTE's Light Tab 2 is 12.9mm thick – a few millimetres more than the iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab – but it does house two front (0.3MP) and rear (3.2MP) cameras, 4GB of internal memory (with an SD card slot) and weighs less than 400g. That's pretty good for a 7incher and two thirds of the heft of the 10in tablets. Tempted? You can pre-order the ZTE V9A Light Tab 2 now at Clove.
