TomTom has just given us a peek at their spanking new Go x40 Live series satnavs, which they reckon make their already impressive mappers even better for getting you from a to b. The three new models, the Go 940, Go 540 and Go 740 each come filled with new and improved IQ routes, so you can not only find where you're going, but also the best way around hellish traffic queues.
The newly updated tech uses historical travel time information for every road you can imagine, so it'll be able to suss out whether there's a jam ahead based on what's gone on before. Pretty clever, we think you'll agree.
The new Live service, which includes the already uber-successful HD traffic system will give you real time safety alerts on the road, correct fuel prices as they surge ever upwards and even local search using Google.
The Dutch traffic fanatics say you'll be able to stick one on your dash from this autumn, with prices starting at £299. That includes a three month free trial of Live, and then you'll need to front up a tenner a month to get all the info straight to your GPS.
