Let’s take a second to mourn for the non-initiated. The Joes and Moes who don’t buy Stuff and aren’t awoken by the insistent vibrato of an RSS reader app busting to unload the night’s tech news into their eyes. Every now and then, they need a new TV so they buy the wrong model on the suggestion of Kevin from the out-of-town megastore, or they wind up paying too much for a phone they don’t need.

They think to themselves: "Technology sucks, and is boring." How we would love to magic them out of their beds, and show them the fun stuff! A fantastical tour of the CES show in Las Vegas, where 1080p mobiles and curved televisions rub shoulders with net-connected plant protectors and ephemera such as the iPotty (take a guess).

We could show them tech that makes fitness fun and music-making easy, and beautiful science-themed objects that will make any house a joy to live in. And they’d know what to say to Kevin and they’d learn to play and to love again and… you get the idea. We’ll go away and have a word with ourselves about not brainwashing Joes and Moes into reading Stuff.

The fully-interactive Stuff iPad and iPhone edition is available to download from the app store or via Newsstand now. If you have any issues, the answer may be in the frequently asked questions page. The fully interactive print edition is also available from all good (and some evil) newsagents.
