Office Cat wraps up the working week with a new video app from Twitter and Huawei's latest phone

Huawei Ascend P2 leaks online

Huawei launched two new phones at CES 2013, but the Chinese manufacturer isn't resting on its laurels – Twitter user @evleaks has dropped this image of the upcoming Huawei Ascend P2. The phone packs a 4.5in, 1080p display along with a bespoke quad-core 1.8GHz processor designed by Huawei, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera and a 3,000mAh battery. Office Cat is grateful that someone's releasing a high-end smartphone with a smaller screen – his paws are a bit small for 6in phablets.

BBC Sport has added live and on-demand video to the BBC Sport iPhone app and its mobile site. Initially, you'll be able to watch video clips in the football, F1, cricket, rugby league, rugby union, tennis, and golf sections. Office Cat is outraged – what about the national tiddlywinks championships?

Twitter launches Vine iPhone app for video

Not content with reducing our attention span to 140 characters, Twitter's taking a similarly abbreviated approach to video with its new Vine app. The App – initially available for iPhone only, with more platforms to follow – lets you create six-second videos that can be embedded in tweets. It only records when you're pressing on the screen – perfect for time-lapse and stop-motion videos. Check out Stuff's first effort here.
