Well, according to Neil Hunt, the company&rsquo;s chief product officer, it&rsquo;ll be a very different place.</p> <p>Speaking at New York&rsquo;s Internet Week conference, Hunt said that Netflix is developing its personalisation technology so quickly that, by 2025 (or possibly sooner), the days of you listlessly browsing its grid of shows and movies for something to watch will be long gone.</p> <div class="field field-type-userreference field-field-byline"> <div class="field-label">Byline:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <a href="/users/sam-kieldsen" title="View user profile.">Sam Kieldsen</a> </div> </div> </div> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-group-sections"><legend>News Section</legend><fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-0"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Hunt says that, as the recommendation engine improves, it will become easier for audiences to discover the smaller shows and films they might not otherwise try. And that means show- and movie-makers in turn will get more freedom to create material that falls outside the traditional TV broadcast model of 30 minute or hour-long instalments: &ldquo; The stories we watch today are not your parents&rsquo; TV, and the stories your kids watch in 2025 will blow your mind.&rdquo;</p> <p>He also hinted (albeit very vaguely) that Netflix would be moving into live broadcasting, saying we should &ldquo;stay tuned&rdquo; for future announcements along those lines. It&rsquo;s something that could shake up the way in which sport is shown, although he conceded that the way in which sport broadcasting rights are generally sold to the highest bidder meant that it was an area in which Netflix doesn&rsquo;t have any advantages over traditional media companies.</p> <p>Advertising, he said, is set for a big change. Netflix&rsquo;s subscription model, of course, means there are no ads at all, and the increasing popularity of internet TV will mean the death of the traditional ad break. But advertising will adapt, he believes: you might see fewer adverts, but the ones you see will be more relevant and more targeted.</p> <p>Interesting stuff. There&#39;s good news on the live TV front too. The new LG sets can pull in listings from the likes of Sky and even control your Sky+ HD box itself. Remember when <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/microsoft/microsoft-xbox-one/review" target="_blank">Xbox One</a> promised something similar, but failed to deliver? Click it and a variety of content available that day is presented with poster-like artwork. So you might get a TV show being broadcast on Channel 4 later that day, a film available to stream from Netflix, or a boxset episode available on-demand from Sky. Select one and you&rsquo;ll be taken directly to it, and if it&rsquo;s available from multiple sources you can choose which one to watch. Nothing in the initial selection that takes your fancy? Click once to refresh the lot.</p> <p>It all adds up to webOS being a true hub for everything you might possibly want to watch. All of that fragmentation you get when trawling multiple apps and multiple sources for something of interest is gone. Content comes first, and your route to it has been shortened immeasurably.</p> <p>In fact, moving from app to app is practically instantaneous, and apps continue running in the background so that if you switch from an episode of <em>Sons Of Anarchy</em> in order to watch the footie, once the match is over you can instantly resume the biker gang soap opera exactly where you left off.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/netflix/25-best-things-watch-netflix-right-now/feature" target="_blank">The 25 best things to watch on Netflix right now</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Every feature, source and service is treated as an equal app" alt="LG webOS hands-on review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/LG-webOS-24.jpg?1399889165" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="Today brings in content from every source available" alt="LG webOS hands-on review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/LG-webOS-9.jpg?1399889165" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-3"> <div class="field-label">Image #3:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_3" width="1200" height="900" title="Multiple services with the same content? That last idea is definitely getting passed on to the money men at Stuff Towers.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/netflix/25-best-things-watch-netflix-right-now/feature" target="_blank">The 25 Best Things to Watch on Netflix right now</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="We&#039;re home" alt="Netflix HQ" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Netflix-HQ-12.jpg?1399825598" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="This is the board that tracks the progress of (sadly codenamed) new features" alt="Netflix HQ" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Netflix-HQ-10.jpg?1399825598" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-3"> <div class="field-label">Image #3:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_3" width="1200" height="900" title="You knew there was going to be a massive cinema room somewhere" alt="Netflix HQ" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Netflix-HQ-14.jpg?1399825598" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> <p><a href="http://www.stuff.tv/netflix/netflix-time-broadcasters-are-doing-4k-we-ll-be-next-thing/news" target="_blank">read more</a></p> http://www.stuff.tv/netflix/netflix-time-broadcasters-are-doing-4k-we-ll-be-next-thing/news#comments 4K Netflix Streaming Thu, 08 May 2014 20:53:04 +0000 Tom Parsons 1436779 at http://www.stuff.tv Streaming music app Bloom.fm seeking funding to stay afloat http://www.stuff.tv/music/streaming-music-app-bloomfm-seeking-funding-stay-afloat/news <div class="field field-type-text field-field-standfirst"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Surprise shutdown can be reversed if a buyer or new investor is secured </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-main-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Bloom.fm" alt="Bloom.fm" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/images/news/bloomfm.jpg?1399063756" /> </div> </div> </div> <p>Fans of the streaming music app Bloom.fm were surprised earlier this week when the service announced it would close due to pulled funding.</p> <p>Founded in 2008, the company had until recently been bankrolled by Russian TV network TNT. The Roku is proudly purple, the Chromecast casual in black.</p> <p>Both plug into your telly via HDMI, and both also have a microUSB socket at the other end from which they draw their power. For this task you can either use the bundled wall plug or hook them straight up to a USB socket on your TV.</p> <p>But crucially, the Roku comes with a dedicated remote, whereas the Chromecast can only be operated via smartphone app. And as the remote doesn&rsquo;t need line of sight, it&#39;s no less flexible to operate than an app either. Obviously. And here the Roku Streaming Stick has an advantage.</p> <p>You&#39;ll find more than 500 apps on the Roku store, including the aforementioned BBC iPlayer and Netflix, Sky Store and Now TV, 4oD, Demand 5, Spotify, TuneIn, and YouTube. There are hundreds more specialist channels, catering for every interest. Personally we&#39;re quite partial to Visitation, a live stream of services from the Our Lady of the Visitation chuch in Cincinnatti, Ohio. We kid you not. Well OK, we&#39;ve never really watched it. But it does exist.</p> <p>We have watched the excellent Sky Now TV though: splash out &pound;6.99 on a month&#39;s Entertainment Pass, immerse yourself in <em>Game Of Thrones </em>and <em>The Walking Dead</em> and you&#39;ll be glad you had it.</p> <p>Adding apps is a piece of cake and new services join the line-up regularly. Hopefully we&#39;ll see ITV Player soon, so we can get our fix of <em>Loose Women</em>.</p> <p>Rather than have its own apps, Chromecast relies on iOS or Android apps with a &#39;Cast&#39; button. Netflix has one, as has iPlayer, but not much else; hopefully more will arrive soon. You do of course also get YouTube, and there&#39;s an excellent selection of films to buy on Google Play Movies.</p> <p>Streaming your own content is also easier on Roku than on Chromecast. On Google&#39;s device you&#39;ll need to use the Plex service - which is fine, but a little fiddly - whereas on the Streaming Stick you have access to the Roku Media Player app, among others. It&#39;s slick to use and will play just about anything.</p> <p>Ultimately, there&#39;s only one winner in this category. While both devices have the big two of Netflix and iPlayer, the fact that the Roku has so many more channels overall gives it a clear lead over its rival.</p> <p><strong><em>Winner:</em> Roku Streaming Stick</strong></p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/roku/roku-1/review">Roku 1 review</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Casting, 1-2-3" alt="Google Chromecast vs Roku Streaming Stick" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/chromecast-tv-ready-to-cast_0.jpg?1399043774" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="BBC iPlayer now has a Cast button" alt="Google Chromecast vs Roku Streaming Stick" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/iplayer-chromecast-htc_0.JPG?1399043774" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-3"> <div class="field-label">Image #3:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_3" width="1200" height="900" title="There are many, many channels available on Roku" alt="Google Chromecast vs Roku Streaming Stick" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_homescreen_0.jpg?1399043774" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-4"> <div class="field-label">Image #4:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_4" width="1200" height="900" title="Netflix: a winner on any device" alt="Google Chromecast vs Roku Streaming Stick" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_Netflix_app_0.jpg?1399043774" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-2"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> PERFORMANCE </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Casting from a compatible app to Google Chromecast works quickly enough, and given the right content it looks great too.</p> <p>Netflix&rsquo;s Super HD streams will delight you with their 1080p, high-bitrate, Dolby Digital+ surround loveliness, and if you purchase a HD flick from Google Play Movies they&#39;ll look great too. BBC iPlayer maxes out at 720p and a YouTube clip will only ever be as good as the quality it&#39;s transmitted in, but that&#39;s the same for the Roku too.</p> <p>To our eyes, the Roku&#39;s picture is a tad softer than that of the Chromecast, but not enough to make a huge difference. Navigation is snappy, particularly if using the remote, and you can also Cast to the Streaming Stick from some apps, including Netflix, if it takes your fancy. Those who&rsquo;ve wall-mounted and therefore have to use a side-facing HDMI might see a purple tip protruding from the edge of their telly, but that&rsquo;s not nearly as frightful as we&rsquo;ve just made that sound.</p> <p>But don&rsquo;t go thinking this is an entirely wire-free affair: the Streaming Stick (like the Chromecast) can&rsquo;t draw power via HDMI, so you need to use the bundled USB cable to supply it with juice. The vast majority of TVs now have USB sockets, and if you&rsquo;ve got one free that&rsquo;s by far the neatest option (just use a cable tie to keep the excess cable out of sight), but if you&rsquo;re without an available socket there&rsquo;s also a wall charger in the box.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Streaming Stick vs Chromecast: the weigh-in" alt="Roku Streaming Stick review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_vs_Chromecast_1.jpg?1398882654" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="You&#039;ll need a spare HDMI and spare USB socket for power" alt="Roku Streaming Stick review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_3.jpg?1398882654" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-3"> <div class="field-label">Image #3:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_3" width="1200" height="900" title="Vents and recess button: things just got serious" alt="Roku Streaming Stick review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_5.jpg?1398882654" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-4"> <div class="field-label">Image #4:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_4" width="1200" height="900" title="Lost the bundled cable? Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and input the password and the Roku downloads and installs the latest version of its firmware - a process that took all of about 3mins for us.</p> <p>At this point you&rsquo;ll be directed to create a Roku account via the main website. It doesn&rsquo;t take long and once done you&rsquo;re left to the far more enjoyable job of selecting which apps you&rsquo;d like to install.</p> <p>Roku reckons there are 500+ apps (or Channels, as it insists on calling them) now available, and unsurprisingly huge swathes of it are absolute rubbish. Thankfully the good stuff is easy to find in the Most Popular menu, and there&rsquo;s plenty of it. Unsurprisingly, video on-demand takes centre stage, with iPlayer and Demand 5 covering the free stuff and Netflix, Sky Now TV and Sky Store doing the subscription and on-demand thing. Music from Spotify is a great bonus, too, and TuneIn is there to deliver internet radio.</p> <p>That&rsquo;s already a bunch more stuff than the <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/google-chromecast/review" target="_blank">Chromecast&rsquo;s</a> got, and the Roku treads on the Chromecast&rsquo;s apparent USP by accepting videos that are &ldquo;casted&rdquo; from the Netflix app on your iPhone or Android device. On top of that the Roku excels in an area that the Chromecast struggles - streaming your own media.</p> <p>The Chromecast currently relies entirely on Plex if you want to play your own video or music files, and decent though Plex is, it relies on you either having a computer on and running Plex, or a NAS with a Plex app and the ability to transcode, which isn&rsquo;t all that common. The Roku also has Plex, which will be fine for some, but it also has a dedicated Roku Media Player app that - while very basic in appearance - plays just about anything without any fuss. There&rsquo;s Twonky Beam, too, and DS Video for those with Synology DiskStations. Essentially, if you want to stream your own stuff, the Roku is a much better bet for most people than the Chromecast.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/ds214se/synology-ds214se-dsm-50/review" target="_blank">Synology DS214se with DSM 5.0 review</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="The main app food groups are covered" alt="Roku Streaming Stick review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_homescreen.jpg?1398882654" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" title="Casting from Netflix is supported just as it is on Chromecast" alt="Roku Streaming Stick review" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/Roku_Streaming_Stick_Netflix_app.jpg?1398882654" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-box-out-title"> <div class="field-label">Box Out Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Roku: A Gateway to Sky </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-box-out-body-text"> <div class="field-label">Box Out Body Text:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Those Now TV and Sky Store apps are great ways for those who aren&rsquo;t Sky subscribers to get access to the wealth of Sky content.</p> <p>Sky Store is a simple pay-as-you-go movie streaming service that impresses in terms of content (1200 movies and loads of top notch new releases), even if the lack of HD is a bit of a shame.</p> <p>Now TV is slightly more confusing but also probably of more interest to many. It&rsquo;s split into three channels: Entertainment, Movies and Sport. The first includes all of the TV content you&rsquo;d find on Sky&rsquo;s own channels (including Sky Atlantic, which brings with it new <em>Game of Thrones</em>, among many others), available on-demand for a &pound;6.99 monthly fee.</p> <p>Movies gives on-demand access to all of the - you guessed it - movies currently on the Sky platform for &pound;8.99 a month. A princely sum, but if it&rsquo;s the last day of the Premier League season and you&rsquo;re not a Sky TV subscriber, probably one that&rsquo;s worth paying.</p> <p>Disappointingly those who already pay for a Sky Subscription don&rsquo;t get free access to Now TV, so this isn&rsquo;t a cheap way to get Multiroom. Which isn&rsquo;t a great surprise, given Sky&rsquo;s history of embracing new technologies like HDTV and 3D TV, but (assuming it&rsquo;s true) reassuring to know: 4K can only succeed if there&rsquo;s lots of material out there to watch, after all.</p> <p>The Telegraph&rsquo;s sources say the Project Ethan revamp could be available to &ldquo;millions of customers as soon as two years from now&rdquo;. We think Sky needs get a move on, because two years is a long time in tech &ndash; and Amazon, Netflix, Apple and other video providers won&rsquo;t be sitting still either.</p> <p>[Via <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/mediatechnologyandtelecoms/media/10789883/BSkyB-plans-major-overhaul-of-set-top-box-to-meet-Apple-threat.html">The Telegraph</a>]</p> <p><strong>Update 29/04/13:</strong> Back in March we caught up with Luke Bradley-Jones, Brand Director of TV Products at Sky, to talk about the future of the service. Here&#39;s what he had to say about 4K broadcasting and the differences between internet streaming and satellite broadcasting.</p> <p><strong>On 4K:</strong><br />&quot;We look at it all the time. We keep a very close eye on what&#39;s happening, and we&#39;ve run some trials in terms of shooting in 4K.</p> <p>&quot;I think what we&#39;ve learned and executed very well against for both HD and 3D is making sure that we&#39;re striking the right balance between helping to create demand and getting our customers excited about new technologies, but not trying to force feed something that they&#39;re not interested in. We&#39;ve got over half our base watching in HD now. We&#39;ve got a 3D base which is growing solidly but hasn&#39;t followed the same rate of adoption as HD &ndash; I don&#39;t think we ever thought it would.</p> <p>&quot; So we&#39;ll keep watching 4K. It&#39;s in our DNA to make sure we offer the best viewing experience, especially for the big screen, which is where the majority of our customers spend the majority of their time watching telly. We haven&#39;t announced anything because we don&#39;t have a specific plan to announce. But we&#39;re testing the technology, watching the device prices and watching the take-up.&quot;</p> <p><strong>Will 4K be streamed over the internet or broadcast via satellite?</strong><br />&quot;We&#39;ve just run through a top-to-bottom assessment of what it would take from a broadcast operations point of view to deliver 4k and it would take an investment but it&#39;s something that&#39;s absolutely doable from both a downstream bandwidth and cost point of view. We invest pretty substantially in our broadcast platform every year, the vast majority of our content and viewing continues to be delivered via satellite.</p> <p>&quot; The economics of OTT [internet-streaming] delivery for bandwidth-hungry services is improving but it really depends on the scale. If it&#39;s on a smaller scale we might look at OTT but if we&#39;re taking it to market we&#39;d probably want to take it to scale, which is what we&#39;re good at, so DTH [satellite] would definitely be part of that.&quot;</p> <p><strong>But won&#39;t streaming replace tradition satellite broadcasts soon?</strong><br />&quot;I&#39;m not saying that&#39;s never going to happen but I think it&#39;s a long way off. If you look at the volume of simultaneous viewers we&#39;re supporting in one go in HD for live content, the economics for that via satellite versus OTT are still in favour of the satellite. It&#39;s much more efficient.</p> <p>&quot;Even for on-demand content, some of our most popular movies and TV shows are pushed to the box via the satellite rather than over the internet. Even though they&#39;re being watched on demand the customer generally doesn&#39;t know how it&#39;s being delivered. Anywhere between 40 and 60 percent of movies watched on-demand every week are pushed to the box via satellite. That means automatic viewing rather than having to wait for a download and it&#39;s also very efficient.</p> <p>&quot;Although we&#39;ve got major broadband operators it still costs more than satellite downlink, which is essentially zero incremental cost for the bandwidth we have. If you&#39;re dealing with a serious number of simultaneous live views or a major number of on-demand views of a given asset the economics are still preferable for satellite.&quot;</p> <p>So there you have it, straight from the horse&#39;s mouth: 4K is coming, and satellite broadcasts aren&#39;t going anywhere &ndash; at least not for a while.</p> <p><iframe frameborder="0" height="180" src="http://pages.haymarket.com/stuff_signup/enews_embed" width="300"></iframe></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-group-carousel-item"><legend>Carousel Extras</legend><fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-0"><div class="field field-type-text field-field-carousel-item-title"> <div class="field-label">Carousel item title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> The next Sky box will support 4K </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-carousel-item-standfirst"> <div class="field-label">Carousel item standfirst:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Cloud recordings and access from any gadget are coming, too </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> <p><a href="http://www.stuff.tv/sky/project-ethan-revamp-will-transform-sky-s-set-top-box-service/news" target="_blank">read more</a></p> 4K PVRs and Set-top Boxes Sky Streaming Tue, 29 Apr 2014 16:11:23 +0000 Sam Kieldsen 1436278 at http://www.stuff.tv Roku 1 http://www.stuff.tv/roku/roku-1/review <div class="field field-type-text field-field-standfirst"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Free your TV from the tyranny of the schedules with this £40 streaming superstar </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-enable-hero"> <div class="field-label">Enable hero:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Enable full width image </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-main-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="1200" height="900" title="The Roku 1 - try it and you&#039;ll never want to lego.
