And by army we mean four new models: two for the E series and two in the S series.</p> <p>The new VAIO S series are compact 13.3 and 15.5-inch models with some resemblance to the plastic MacBook range. Designed with mobility in mind, they’re constructed from weight-saving materials like magnesium, aluminium and carbon fibre – the upshot being the 15.5-inch model weighs less than 2kg.</p> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-legacy-url"> <div class="field-label">Legacy URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> /news/computers-and-consoles/news-nugget/sony-outs-new-vaio-ranges </div> </div> </div> <p><a href="http://www.stuff.tv/sony/sony-outs-new-vaio-ranges/news" target="_blank">read more</a></p> http://www.stuff.tv/sony/sony-outs-new-vaio-ranges/news#comments Sony VAIO Tue, 15 May 2012 13:50:58 +0000 Sam Kieldsen 421169 at http://www.stuff.tv Sony’s concept VAIO laptop double http://www.stuff.tv/sony/sony%E2%80%99s-concept-vaio-laptop-double/news <div class="field field-type-text field-field-standfirst"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> As the embers cool on Sony’s twin tablet announcement, a pair of laptops rise from the ashes </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-main-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="460" height="258" alt="" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/images/news/sony_freestyle_hybrid_pc_1.jpg?1364401904" /> </div> <div class="field-item even"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="460" height="258" alt="" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/images/news/sony_ultimate_mobile_pc_1.jpg?1364401904" /> </div> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="500" height="50" alt="" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/images/news/new-twitter-banner_0_247.jpg?1364401904" /> </div> </div> </div> <p>When <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/news/computers-and-consoles/news-nugget/sony-s1-and-s2-tablets-unveiled">Sony broke news of its long-rumoured VAIO S1 and S2 tablets</a>, it made a lot of noise. So much noise, in fact, that a couple of laptop concepts managed to creep under the Stuff radar. There are few details that can’t be gleaned from the pictures you see here, but the VAIO Freestyle Hybrid PC (top) is a sliding QWERTY tablet, while the Ultimate Mobile PC is a 13.3in slimline laptop with what looks like a unibody build.</p> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-legacy-url"> <div class="field-label">Legacy URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> /news/computers-and-consoles/news-nugget/sony%E2%80%99s-concept-vaio-laptop-double </div> </div> </div> <p><a href="http://www.stuff.tv/sony/sony%E2%80%99s-concept-vaio-laptop-double/news" target="_blank">read more</a></p> http://www.stuff.tv/sony/sony%E2%80%99s-concept-vaio-laptop-double/news#comments Sony VAIO Wed, 27 Apr 2011 09:32:34 +0000 Paddy Smith 416317 at http://www.stuff.tv
