Sony DAV-X10 review

Sony is out to bring Hollywood glamour into your living room with a new designer 2.1-channel all-in-one system. But is it Grace Kelly or Posh Spice?

All-in-one home cinema systems aren’t just about sound and picture quality. Design and ease of use – often dismissed as ‘lifestyle’ fluff – are often just as important, and Sony’s new DAV-X10 embraces them with near pornographic results.

Our eyes lit up, too, when we spotted two Digital Media Ports among the X10’s connections, allowing hook-up with portable audio sources or computers via suitable adaptors. Happily one such adaptor, the TDM-BT1, is included, allowing you to stream audio from mobile phones.
