Sony Ericsson K800i review

Sony Ericsson's first Cybershot mobile is the best camphone available, and a fantastic mobile to boot

Megapixels aren’t a problem for today’s camphones, but dedicated snappers have slept easily knowing that none have anything resembling a decent flash.

Well, Sony Ericsson’s first dedicated Cybershot phone is here to rudely interrupt their blissful sleep.

The 3.2MP  K800i is the first camphone to sport the same Xenon flash seen in dedicated cameras, and it works brilliantly – shots are crisp and colourful, and even dingy bars can be illuminated.

And once you’ve captured the bleakness, you can hurl the results at friend’s via the power of Bluetooth or MMS.

Our only disappointment is the lack of an optical zoom, which is a big oversight, but doesn’t prevent this from being the best camphone we’ve seen.
