Xiaomi drops Mi3 price to S$339 in Singapore

Now this is a non-4G phone worth buying if you don't want to be tied to a two-year contract

All you Xiaomi lovers in Singapore, here’s another reason to rejoice. The Chinese electronics vendor has made its fastest Mi smartphone more affordable than ever.

Yes, you heard us right. Xiaomi has slashed the price of its Mi3 Android phone, from S$419 to S$339.

That’s a cost savings of S$80 for the 16GB unit; don’t tell us it’s not going to make any of you happy.

And don’t presume the price is part of a two-year contract with StarHub, SingTel or M1 – it’s not. S$339 is the full, SIM-free price offered. The only downside is, the Mi3 doesn't support 4G speeds. But if you rather not pay extra for 4G, this is the most affordable 3G smartphone.

More after the break...

Available for a limited time only

But you got to be quick; the last time the Mi3 went on sale in March, the units were sold out in only two minutes (as we predicted since Xiaomi’s mobiles have been selling like hotcakes).

Like that pressure isn’t enough, Xiaomi didn’t declare how many units will be available, so you better act fast. For all we know, there could only be 100 units available today.

Will history repeat itself? We’ll just have to wait and find out, but the reduced pricing is definitely a valid reason for you to get your Mi3 today. The Mi3 is now available from Xiaomi’s website.

If you want a chance to win a Mi3, all you need to do is share the post about the Mi3's price cut and comment on why it is a mobile that gives more value for money (you also need to PM Xiaomi Sinagpore your name, NRIC, mobile and email details). Contest ends 30 April at 10am.
