What makes us Singaporeans buzz more than that word sale? Evidently, not much. And Xiaomi is taking advantage of that.
Missed the first few waves of the affordable Xiaomi Redmi? Don't worry, 7500 sets will be available again on 24 April. Okay, so it's not exactly a sale since it's still priced at S$169, but it's still a deal for those of you on a budget, especially when so-called budget smartphones in the market cost at least S$300.
Expect the Redmi phones to fly off the shelves, or rather the online store, like hotcakes. 5000 units of the Xiaomi Redmi smartphones were wiped out from the online store in 8 minutes and 4 seconds when it went on sale in March. So you’ve got to have fast fingers if you want one.

In addition to the Redmis, Xiaomi will also be selling its Mi Power Banks 10,400mAh at S$13.99 only (from the usual price of S$14.99), Likewise, only a limited number (5000 sets to be exact) will be on sale. For less than S$15, you'll get a charger that supports pass-through charging – meaning, it charges your phone while the Power Bank is also charging.
Regular accessories and Xiaomi In-Ear Headphones will be on sale too, though the prices for those haven't been announced yet. You might want to camp the Xiaomi Singapore site over the next two days to check out its offer.
Mi Fans, remember to mark the date in your calendars. Sales will begin 24 April at 12 noon, so share this news with your buddies too.
