Razer has decided that their current range of Blade laptops is due for a refresh. Both the 17-inch monster of a gaming notebook, the Razer Blade Pro and its smaller sibling the Razer Blade, now come with a new specifications that ought to make you drool.
Improved graphics and a high resolution touch screen
First up the 14-inch Razer Blade. Razer has added a high-resolution screen with a 3200 x 1800 resolution and that’s not all. It’s also thrown in touchscreen functions to the screen as well. And if you think it’s just the screen that is getting an upgrade, think again. Razer has upped the graphics processor to a nVidia GeForce GTX 870M with 3GB DDR5 RAM. This is supposed to give it 65% more graphics power compared to GeForce GTX 765M that the older model was equipped with. If you’re expecting some cosmetic changes, don’t bother. The Razer Blade is mostly staying the same though you’ll see a slight increase in height and weight.
This monster has leveled up
As for Razer’s monster gaming notebook the Razer Blade Pro, you can also expect an upgrade in graphics processor to the GeForce GTX 860M. There’s also going to be an increase in memory from 8GB to 16GB. And just to make sure it’s not just a machine for gamers but for the creative types as well, Razer is collaborating will music producer Afrojack on an app for the Blade Pro’s Switchblade UI. It’s supposed to help producers make “better studio-quality music”.
Both the new Razer Blade and Razer Blade Pro are available for pre-order now and prices will start from S$3199 and S$3399 respectively.
