Mortal Kombat XL on the way with all the Xtra characters

Ultimate edition has all the DLC, will still be Xtra gory

Get ready, fight fans – Mortal Kombat X is getting an extra large re-release that’s packed with all the DLC released to date.

Developer Netherrealm studios revealed the new game today with a new trailer, showing off every character added to the game so far.

That includes the first Kombat Pack, which added classic characters Tanya and Tremor, and horror film staples Jason Voorhees and the Predator. Goro, the four-armed, half-dragon brute that was originally an exclusive character for those that pre-ordered the game, will also appear.

The new game will also be a way to play the second set of Kombat Pack characters, which aren’t set to land until April.

If you’re desperate to dismember as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface, or want to spray acid blood as the Xenomorph from the Alien films, MK XL will be the quickest way to do it.

There’s a little bit of extra content for MK fans that bought the original game, and all the DLC. New costumes will keep old characters feeling fresh, and at least one new stage fatality wil give you new ways to get the claret flowing.

It’s not good news for PC players, though. Just like the second set of DLC, which is still missing in action, Mortal Kombat XL isn’t set to get a PC release.

Console gamers will be able to satisfy their bloodlust on the 1st of March, when it arrives on Xbox One and PS4.
