LG’s new flagship TV is so thin it’s barely there

They don’t call it the Wallpaper TV for nothing…

We’ve come a long, long way from TVs so big and bulky they could barely fit on a table. Take LG’s new 4K and HDR-packing OLED TV W, for instance – at just 2.57mm in depth, it’s barely thicker than an After Eight mint. Little wonder the company dubs it the “Wallpaper TV”. What’s all the more impressive is that depth is maintained for a huge 77in screen size. And even if the bulk of the electronics and the connections are bundled into a separate box, LG has taken the wise step of doubling that up as a speaker with all-enveloping Dolby Atmos sound. And the price for that little lot? A mere £8000. Ahem.
