Having just announced the game in a worldwide launch to commemorate the franchise’s 15th anniversary, the latest iteration of the PS3’s most popular racing simulation title hits shelves both digitally and physically.
Race your heart out
Looking staggeringly real with a retweaked realistic physics engine and revamped online functionality, GT6 comes with a selection of 120 new cars on top of the already-huge collection of over 1200 cars in the franchise. It also packs 37 tracks including the iconic Silverstone Circuit, Australia’s Mount Panorama, and Spain’s Ascari Race Resort. Of course, staple circuits such as the Gran Turismo Arena and the Matterhorn will be there too, and gamers can also unlock a special event that lets them race the Lunar Rover vehicle on the moon!
The interface has also been given an upgrade, with ease of use and the social aspect in mind. The online component will also get a community feature accessible from mobile phones in a later update.
Gran Turismo 6 is already open for preorder with the BD Standard Edition and 15th Anniversary Edition going for S$80, Digital download for S$72, Collector’s Pack for S$120, and the Racing Pack for S$468.
PSN Early Purchasers who buy between 5th December 2013 and 8th January 2014 will get a free upgrade to the 15th Anniversary Edition, as well as three DLC cars as well and a GT 6 avatar, while PS Plus Members will receive the 15th Anniversary Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 N24.
