Fully Charged: New Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag trailer, Chrome 29's voice tweak, FPS gaming helmet, and RIP Ray Dolby
Behind the scenes look at Assassin's Creed IV
In a new trailer, Ubisoft's given us a taste of what they call an 'open next gen world'. Associate producer Sylvain Trottier walks you through some impressive footage that showcases graphic effects supported by the game including 3D foliage, dynamic ripple shaders and enough rain particles to drown in. Now let's hope our graphic cards can handle it.
Chrome 29 for iOS has pronouns in voice search
Chrome 29 for iOS
What's the big deal about pronouns in voice search? Well, that saves you from having to repeat a subject's name over again.
For instance, you can use pronouns such as 'her', 'him' and 'them' which beat having to say 'Jane Doe' over and over again in search. Trust me, that gets old really fast. So head on to the App Store and try the updated version of Chrome 29.
Dressed for FPS action
If you fancy taking your Battlefield or Call of Duty games to new heights of realism then perhaps you could accesorise with this helmet - the Hyperkin ComRad.
Besides its camo styling, you get a boom mic as well as speakers for US$60 ($76). Best bit is that it can be wirelessly connected to your Xbox 360 or PS3 and to top it all off, you get three styles of camouflage helmet markings to choose from.
Farewell, master of sound
Ray Dolby, founder of Dolby Laboratories and who inspired the industry to "push the limits of sight and sound" has gone to the great home theatre in the sky. He was 80 years old.
His Dolby noise-reduction system and the familiar Dolby logo has made him a household name and a legend in the audio scene. Dolby won two Oscars for scientific and technical achievements as well as a Grammy and numerous Emmys. May there be sweet music where you are, sir.

Twitter goes public
It was only a matter of time. Twitter is filing for an IPO, just as Facebook shares climb. As the filing is being kept confidential, there won't be a lot of details coming out (as yet) but expect lots of speculation anyway. We'll keep you and your wallets posted.
