Titanfall closed beta sign-up now open
If there’s one title that’s getting people to buy an Xbox One, it has to be Titanfall. Although the game isn’t going to be hitting the shelves until March, it’s been getting quite a bit of notice and some gamers have even put off their next-gen console purchase just to wait for it.
Well the wait is almost over for current Xbox One owners and PC users...or at least a select few. Respawn Entertainment, the blokes behind the game, is now accepting sign-ups for the closed beta.
You won’t need to pre-order the game for access, but like most closed betas slots are going to be limited. The good news is, it doesn’t seem to go by a first-come-first-serve basis, so you can take your time, though we wouldn’t recommend it.
Boo! No sign-ups for Xbox 360 users
Xbox 360 users are in for a dissapointment though. No closed beta for you as the sign-ups are ONLY for PC and Xbox One users. We’re pretty sure some of you now regret not getting the Xbox One for Christmas.
Three modes will be available to testers: Attrition, which is the team deathmatch mode, Hardpoint Domination, which is the control point capture mode, and Last Titan standing, which is a team deatmatch variant.
Need a bit more info on the closed beta? There’s a FAQ dedicated to it here.
The closed beta officially starts on 14 February, just in time for a digital mech base Valentines day’s massacre. So hurry over and sign-up now and you might just have something to do on a dateless Valentines night.
