Apple TV beta gets a shiny new interface

iOS 7's style seeps its way into Apple's little black box

Apple has released a revamped beta version of its Apple TV platform, borrowing heavily from iOS 7‘s design.

While the grid layout remains the same, the icons are flatter, and eagle-eyed gadgeteers will notice the change in font to match the one found in iOS 7.

Given that iOS 7 is one of the most beautiful OS’ we’ve ever laid eyes on, this is all welcome news.

If you’ve got an Apple TV and fancy taking the new beta for a spin then you’ll have to register as a developer at the iOS Dev Center.

Regular folk can look forward to the refresh landing later this year, when iOS 8 lands alongside the new iPhone 6.
