Finally PC users are getting the chance to experience gaming with an Xbox controller minus all the extra dongles, cables and wallet abuse the affair usually is associated with.
From what Microsoft reps have made known, the Xbox One controller will happily operate on desktops once the appropriate software is released in 2014 and because it doesn’t share any of that convoluted software that previous generations of controllers had under the hood, it will be able to support PC games that are playable via gamepad.
No word yet whether or not desktop mode will get wireless adapters or if you will have to remain wire bound, but 2014 honestly isn’t too far off a wait to find out. In the meantime, check out how this controller measures up against its arch rival.
