Watch this now: Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel's latest space adventure film follows Peter Quill, a.k.a Star-Lord, who has in his possession an orb that’s to die for. To protect himself, he finds the company of a star-studded group that includes the assassin Gamora (Zoe Saldana), vengeful Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) and the most unlikely duo - a genetically enhanced raccoon Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and the gentle tree giant Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel).

But as Star-Lord realises the true destructive power of the orb, he must rally the “losers” and abandon all that he knows about self-preservation in one final stand for the universe as the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Experience this now: Golden Village D-Box

Since you’re going to watch Guardians of the Galaxy (you really should), you might as well get an extraordinary experience out of it. Watch it at Golden Village’s D-Box, which will physically immerse you in the film. Shake, rattle and roll as the action develops through the film, feel the rush as the dogfights begin and experience the heart-thumping effects of every explosion.

More after the break...

Hear this now: They Want My Soul by Spoon

Spoon fans, you can give up on your despair, the band is back with their first album in four years. The first single off the record, Rent I Pay, is a jangly mellow track with a punchy drumbeat that will appeal to all who need a midday pick-me-up. If there’s one thing that this track reveals about the album, it’s that Spoon is staying faithful to their sound.

Buy this now: Pebble Steel

The Pebble Steel smartwatch is finally available in Singapore. Oh stop that, we know you can buy it online from Pebble. But there are folks who’d rather visit a physical retail store and fondle it before they decide to grab one off the shelves. More importantly, it’s the instant gratification of buying and unboxing the smartwatch that makes it more appealing than a lengthy shipping wait.

So if you’re a believer of brick-and-mortar stores, the S$359 Pebble Steel is available from Challenger, Courts, Digital Style, DG Lifestyle, EpiCentre, EpiLife, Harvey Norman, NuBox, Newstead Technologies and SingTel stores.
