Said touchscreen has Corning Gorilla Glass 3, with a digital watch interface with the time, date as well as calendar and alarm functions. A Texas Instrument processor is the heart of the device though there&#39;s no mention of its speed or make.</p> <p>Other things to note: a built-in heart rate monitor and pedometer, voice activation thanks to the also built-in microphone, Bluetooth 4.0. Waterproofing? Yes, up to 3.3&#39; for 30 minutes. There&#39;s a lithium-ion battery pack with an included dock and charger but no confirmation if the charging is wireless.</p> <p>Is the leather band there? Yes, Best Buy says it&#39;s a Horween leather band with a metal buckle closure to complement a stainless steel case and plastic case back.</p> <p>The price, at US$249.99, looks to be fairly expected for the specs. Its price puts it on par with offerings from Samsung with the added benefit of it looking like a real watch and not one of those funky rubber wristbands. As the ad mentions &#39;select Android devices&#39;, let&#39;s hope Motorola hasn&#39;t decided to make the phone only compatible with its current and upcoming phones.</p> <p>We&#39;ll know the full details once the launch happens on Sept 4, along with the G2 and X+1 launches. There&#39;s no point having a clever wearable strapped to your wrist if you hate the sight of it, is there?</p> <p>Fortunately, the Moto 360&#39;s killer feature - its circular display - looks amazing. Not only does it set it apart from rectangular smartwatches such as the LG G watch and Samsung Gear Live, but it makes it look like, well, a watch.</p> <p>Although Motorola has yet to confirm the exact display technology used, we expect it&#39;s a circular OLED affair. Not only will that help its battery life thanks to its largely black watch face (OLED displays turn off black pixels), but it also means it should have better visibility in sunlight compared to a more traditional LCD display.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/sg/lg/lg-g-watch/review" target="_blank">LG G watch review</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="960" height="720" title="Beautiful" alt="Motorola Moto 360" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/close.jpg?1407855579" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="960" height="720" title="Square pegs, round holes. Still, it does have to house a processor, battery and other components, and we expect future iterations to slim down once technology progresses.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a Essentially, Android Wear devices are designed to show you the information you need at the moments you need it, delivering contextual cards with notifications from apps on a paired device running Android 4.3 or higher.</p> <p>The watch screen stays on at all times in a black and white mode, and then to full color when lifted or tapped. You can just speak commands into the phone (starting with &ldquo;OK Google&rdquo;) to search, pull up apps, answer text messages, and more. Swiping up and down scrolls you through the cards, and you can go left and right as needed when an app allows multiple displays.</p> <p>Android Wear devices also have fitness functionality, as expected, with apps able to use a built-in sensor to read your heart rate, plus they&rsquo;ll log your steps throughout the day. When an Android Wear watch is synced to a device, it&rsquo;ll automatically install the Wear portion of any downloaded apps and keep them up to date.</p> <p>All told, the UI seems strongly focused on simplicity and being a good companion to your phone, rather than try to duplicate all functionality.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="799" title="Samsung Gear Live" alt="Samsung Gear Live" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/samsung-gearlive.jpg?1403747129" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-1"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>The full Android Wear SDK is available today for third-party app makers, and the keynote offered a look at some of the possibilities.
