Gold seems to be a very popular colour option in Singapore when it comes to smartphones (going by the number of iPhone 5S Golds that got swiped up during its launch). And why wouldn’t it be? It exudes sophistication, luxury, and style.
And HTC knows that. It’s made available the gold edition of its One (M8) smartphone in Singapore to satisfy the pirate in you. Now, the One (M8) isn’t actually made up of gold, but instead, it’s an all-metal model coloured in Amber Gold with black accents.
According to HTC South Asia president, Jack Yang, the HTC One (M8) has been the company’s fastest selling smartphone to date and it’s thrilled to bring on board some new colours to continually widen the range for its customers.
“The new Amber Gold colour further defines the HTC One (M8) as the luxurious must-have smartphone this season,” he said.
It's not the only option
For those of you that prefer the all-metal design to come through in its design, the existing Gunmetal Gray and Glacial Silver colour portfolio might do the trick for you.
Some of the smartphone’s other features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and the latest Android 4.4 operating system, an all-new Sense 6 experience, HTC Duo Camera, and an intuitive HTC Motion Launch amongst others.
The Amber Gold option will be available in Singapore on 21 June from SingTel, StarHub, and M1, while the other two versions are already out in the market. It will cost you S$958 for the 16GB model, which isn’t half the price you’d expect to fork out if it was actually made out of real gold. Now, go(ld) forth and purchase.
